Natalie Portman's Eco-Friendly Engagement Ring

Big Bucks, Natalie Portman, has a new high-class sparkling engagement ring, just as every other Hollywood star, but this one is special. Sources say Portman, a Vegan, has an eco-friendly ring given to her by her soon to be Husband and baby daddy Benjamin Millepied, a dancer/model.

The ring's designer, Jamie Wolf collaborated with Millepied to create a vintage styled piece. The paved stones have a "conflict-free certification" which means that no one was treated unfairly or hurt during the mining. [Wow, that's pretty awesome]

The ring represents a current trend of placing antique stones in modern settings, creating a pretty DAME fabulous accoutrement.

A School In China Bans Boys & Girls From Getting Too Close

A school in the city Chengdu has a new rule for students that prevent boys and girls to be close to one another. The new code of conduct states that boys and girls must be at least 20 inches away from each other and if this rule is disobeyed it will result in immediate expulsion.

Supposably this is to improve the etiquette of the nation's youth.

Hmm...In the US, we'd probably just start screaming at each other to prove a point that that rule is pretty DAME unnecessary.

Nicki Minaj Knocked Up by Drake?!?!

Ok...Maybe she's not pregnant, but she sure gives mixed signals about possibly being knocked up by Drake in the near future. According to BBC Radio, she plans how their kids will be quite the package. Check out what she had to say:

“I think [our kids will] definitely have my personality. ... [Our kids will] have Drake’s intelligence. They’ll have his sarcastic wittiness that I love about him, and they’ll have his songwriting skills. I think we’ll just make a real creative bunch of kids. Wait, did I just say that me and Drake will make kids? I think that would be like incest or something!”

Maxi Dresses are my favorite! Only thing is, because I'm so short I feel uncomfortable in them. Here's a hint to change that! Find one that sits right at the ankle. That way you can throw on some heeled wedges and look tall while looking fierce! Also adding a little print helps spice it up as well for a seasonal and casual look. POT POP!

New Marijuana soda ready to hit the shelves in February!


For all those tree lovers, a California based company has created a new line of pot pop to be launch in Colorado in Feb. It's designer, Clay Butler, who claims to have never used Marijuana or smoked a cigarette states "adults have an inalienable right to think, eat, smoke, drink, ingest, decorate, dress any way they choose." 


All those who agree say I! 


Anywho! They have designed the drinks to be similar to popular sodas. For example: Coca Cola like, Canna Cola, the Dr Pepper–like Doc Weed, the lemon-lime Sour Diesel, the grape-flavored Grape Ape and the orange-flavored Orange Kush.


I found this pretty DAME hilarious.

The label promises to have around 12 ounces per bottle. Each to sell around $10-$15 each.

Snooki & J.Woww's New Reality Show!!

ATTENTION!!!

Snooki and J.Woww don't need no Shore!

As of yesterday, Snooki and J.Woww are now shooting a new reality show in New York and I'm pretty DAME excited! But wait....not NYC! (booooo!)

So where?

Yesterday it began filming in Marlborough, NY about 75 miles outside of the NYC. *runs to Google Maps* Where's that?? (shrugs)

Rumor is, the "pilot" episode will be filmed this weekend on Long Island. I say we allow just attack L.I by force and get a few seconds of fame.

Anyway...

Although I'll miss Pauly, Vin and the rest of the gang, I'm sure glad I don't have to hear Sammi's mouth anymore!

Seriously, Snooki has so much going for herself. Jersey Shore, brand new reality show, and recently named Best Seller by the New York Times for her first book. Why wouldn't you be team Snooks?

Of course Lourdes participation is a given, but I was secretly uber excited to see K.Ozzy. Kelly has always appeared quite bold during the show The Osbournes and from that I love her edge; however it was known that she has internal issues with her external self! Recently Kelly has been more popular in the media as she became recognized for her role on Dancing With The Stars and her remarkable and inspiring weight-loss. It's just amazing to see where she has came from to now. Face it...she looks pretty DAME fabulous!

Snooki? The most popular "Guidette" in America? The pickle loving, poof rocking sensation?  A Best Seller??

YUP!

Snooki is officially named a "Best Seller" by the New York Times for her first book, A Shore Thing.

Bad Skin??

Looks like MTV's new series Skins is causing quite an uproar in the media. 


Skins, originally a British series and later adopted and remade by MTV, follows around a group teenagers who face issues such as mental illnesses, substances abuse, dysfunctional families, sexual orientation identity, death and more; however, some viewers find their depictions of American Teens to be too extreme.


The Parents Television Council, a conservative advocacy group, feels the show is inappropriate  and could be on the verge of violating child pornography laws. According to the Council, Skins glamorizes teen drug and alcohol use.

According to MTV, they review each scene before airing and would not put out a series that would question the law.


Due to the current controversies, many companies, such as: Subway and Taco Bell have pulled current advertisements and future ones from the series during air time. 


But here's the gimmick!!!


The plots of the series is generated entirely by ideas and personal stories from Teens around the United States. So all  those against the show should really focus in on what Teens in America are actually up to. I watched the show and I found that the scenes in the pilot episode was common situations extremely exaggerated. (No fifteen year old walks around with a bottle of Svedka... ) BUT, nonetheless, people argue that reality shows aren't realistic and the media negatively influences us; however, when given real examples of real situations, we can't handle it??? I think people need to open their closed-minds and realize substances abuse, mental illnesses etc are real situations that needs to be addressed. 


MTV is a very successful company. They know what they're doing. This controversy=buzz=awareness=more viewers. As long as they keep it legal, what's the crime?
