According to Mediabistro, Justin Bieber lost over 80,000 followers on twitter when he cut his hair. I must say, JB fans have to be the psychologically ill fan base out of any artist out there today. They are willing to kill for JB and apparently feel attached to his hair as well...This is DAME crazy.

He's been donated pieces of his hair to various foundations to raise money. He gave one lock of his hair to Ellen Degeneres for charity. That's a great thing, but it's hair people.

Words From DAME

I've come across several people who question which direction they want to take it life. I've questioned myself plenty of times in the past and continue to do so; on the other hand, it's important to understand the differences between what you like to do and what you would like to do 24/7 if given the opportunity.

I was always interested in acting, designing clothes, taking photos, singing (although I'm a bit rusty in this department) and so many other things. These are all things that I like, possible love to do, BUT, I couldn't do it all everyday. What I see myself doing everyday is putting my opinion into everything, researching, writing, talking about issues and many things similar to this. I do this without even noticing when I'm doing it. It's something that I love to do and using Public Relations as a focus in school, I am learning how to do these things the "professional" way.

Gosh, how would I love if I could just always say what I thought every time, but everyone knows how complicating that can be. Anywhooo, what I'm trying to say, is follow your dreams, but more specifically focus on what dream you know can be reality. We all dream, but do we always follow through? So if you can be a singing actor who designs clothes while taking pictures of your 5th grade English students (takes deep breath), then go for it! But practice makes perfection!

Should Glee Perform Original Music?

Everyone and their mom loves Glee, and if you don't I highly suggest you catch on to this phenomenon asap! On the other hand, some people feel like Glee should perform their own music. Some artists, such as Gorillaz won't let Glee cover any of their songs, which isn't smart in my opinion, due to the amount of buzz Glee has created over the past year. But their loss...

Anyway, as a viewer, I think the fun part about Glee is the fact that they take everyday songs that you rarely think about and place it into their story lines and create deeper meanings and ultimately appreciations for the song; however, if they were to use their own songs, who would be able to sing along with them? Maybe they could dedicate an episode to their own music but extending them through the season would be DAME ridiculous.

We can't let this happen!

Beyonce Gets Blackfaced

Beyonce has darkened her skin during a shoot for L'Officiel Paris Campaign. I would definitely say darker skin complexions are DAME gorgeous, but why did they use Beyonce for this shoot instead of a darker skinned model or celeb? I never understand why ad campaigns or creative directors don't just hire darker skinned models to do the job during blackfaced shoots.

Nonetheless, I don't think I'm much of a fan of Bey in this Campaign. But what do you think?

To all those Harry Potter lovers, it's an understatement to say Emma Watson [Hermione Granger] grew into her charming looks. Now that Emma's getting ready to kick off her 21st, I must say she is one of the most gorgeous faces in Hollywood, but often over looked.

All-Star Weekend: The Sideline

Did anyone else pay attention to the clothes, celebs and pretty much anything except the actual game during All-Star weekend? I couldn't help but realize how DAME cute these two were throughout the game.

No Facebook For The Obamas

First Lady Michelle Obama says Sasha and Malia Obama are not on Facebook and this, apparently, has caused some controversy. According to Facebook policy, anyone under 13 years old are not permitted to use the site. And according to Michelle Obama...her children will follow the rules.

At A Dead-End?

During this year's Super Bowl, there were fewer exciting and productive commercials than I expected would be; on the other hand, the one that seemed to be creative and productive was the commerical by CareerBuilder.com.

In this commerical the advertiser had the use of metaphors that set it apart from many of the other advertisers from last week's Super Bowl. The commerical begins with a Man who quickly becomes parked in by two other cars and can't exit his own. This is symbolic for people who feel they're at a dead-end with their current job situations, what ever they may be. In addition to this, the use of animals is always a safe way to advertise, because regardless of the message, America always feels good with animals, especially if they come out as the heroes in the advertisement. Overall, this is a great advertisement.

Got Breast-milk?

Single mother, Suzanne Morgan made a life-changing discovery one evening after she put her daughter to bed. Her dog Dixie was barking uncontrollably and needed to be fed. She went downstairs to look for food and realized there was none. She was also low on cash after her and her husband split. 

...So instead of going to the store to pick up some yummy kibble, she tried something more ... uh... unusual. 

She breastfed her dog. Yes, she brought her DOG to her nipple. 

She recounts the experience of feeding little Dixie:

“That night, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Clearly, Dixie liked my milk.  So a few nights later, after I’d fed Tasha, Dixie jumped on the settee and I held my left boob towards her. I squeezed out some milk, and wiped it around my nipple. Within seconds, her long, pink tongue was gently licking my skin. It tickled at first, but then, as she started suckling away, it didn’t feel much different to having Tasha there. ‘You liked that, didn’t you girl?’ I said, as she gently pawed my chest. Despite having a mouthful of sharp teeth, she didn’t bite me and 10 minutes later, I gently pulled her off.”

History Repeats Itself...

In this morning New York Times, the author talks about how some individuals in Egypt are failing to understand the significance of what is going on. The article is about how the issues in Egypt may be occurring now, but they have also been present over a number of years and it’s not meant to only affect Egypt, but the remainder of the Arab world. It then explains that the people who are asking the protestors to allow Egypt to give President Hosni Mubarak time to complete his term aren’t understanding the anger and the frustrations of the Egyptians.

According to the article, this protest has not been the only one in history, but there are several armed revolts on record against colonial rule. With the bloom of modern technology, the citizens in Egypt are who will make this change to democracy pretty DAME possible.

Are Your Gadgets Controlling You?

In today's NY Times, it talked about how technology is beginning to be overwhelming for much of its users. Being connect 24/7 feels like a bit much.  In this article it talks about the use of  technology and how we are literally connected with each other 24/7. Social Media, video calling, texting, etc…are all ways we have adapted to being connected to each other on a regular basis. However, studies have shown that these devices are preventing individuals to concentrate or to truly be present with their friends/family.  

Business people enjoy the fact that they can stay connected to their job if they are physically incapable of being at work, along with students. However, its hard to wonder if this bloom in technology has made us feel like slaves to our own devices.

I know there are times when I feel like I’m overwhelmed at the fact that people can know where I am at all times. Or I feel overwhelmed at the fact that I always have to check my phone or have it somewhere near me. Technology is great, but can be DAME scary at times.

Is Starbucks a great way to substitute alcoholism?

For those not familiar with Starbucks new size, Trenta (30 ounce) it's been proven that it's a lot more than you should be able to handle. Recently, a man, who probably had nothing better to do with his time, discovered that the new Trenta sized Starbucks drink could an entire bottle of wine, with some room left for milk. Pretty DAME disgusting if you ask me.
